Началась 22 сентября 1919, длилась три с половиной месяца и охватила территорию десяти штатов. Стачечники требовали установления 8-часового рабочего дня, введения твердой шкалы заработной платы, признания профсоюзов и заключения коллективного договора. Несмотря на поражение явилась важным этапом в развитии рабочего движения в США
